Thermal, nuff said
what is 1064 laser?
Ir spectrum in nano meters
Photonis have teally crept up in price. Go ELBit.
Sure has the form factor of a StingIR "Hello RIX we are from the OFAC and would like a minute of your time, have you ever heard of the SDN list?"
Don't buy NVG... thermal first!!
Huh.what are you talking about!
L3>Elbit>photonis>carrots;$$$,$$,$,poors peering down the rabbit hole
L3 guys punching the air after spending an extra 2k for an extra 10 fom
Got my 37.5 SNR L3 WP for $3350 on Father's day 🤷♂️
Sad.
Lol what???
What’s it like shooting with a bridged unit?
Is there any way to get a non-wifi version?
Some light would make your reviews better guys
They don't look like they're turned on.
Matches with what I've heard about Elbit and L3 that their tubes do better in low-light conditions. But for the average consumer, that 4G tube is pretty good
No it doesn't. The 4G tube has only 37k Gain. The l3 and Elbit has above 65k gain. Obviously its better in low light with higher gain. Exactly like Photonis with 90k gain would outperform both Elbit and L3 here.
Looking at brands for low light performance doesn't make sense. Data and specifications are important. I'll take elbit or photonis with 90k gain over L3 with 65k gain any day.
Brands can be good for generalization of tube attributes. @aesthetic8780 A random L3 selected will typically outperform a random Elbit for example in low light conditions, and certainly will outperform most Photonis tubes. You are quite right that the specs themselves do matter, especially if they blow the other tube out of the water in regards to those specs.
@@aesthetic8780 The new 4G high gains are amazing. Over 100k gain.
It's the price though. All will perform well but Photonis no longer has the big discount it used to.
You guys must be smoking weed to think Photonis tubes looks similar to L3 and Elbit tubes in low light when they don't!
This is why I paired my 14 with thermal it needs no light to see
@arkayne what scope mount is that. My primary arms scope mount is too low and doesn’t line up
Exactly what I needed to hear! Mahalo
If I'm cross eye dominant, do you suggest me to keep the PVS on my non-dominant side(right eye) and shoot(passively) with my right hand, since it's my dominant arm? Btw. I tried putting my PVS over my right eye, which is my non-dominant eye and aim with my left hand - BAC(Bindon aiming concept), I overlay the images, I see the dot through the monocular, buuut my shots are going 1 feet to right of the target(idk why, but I guess that's the thing you were referring in the video about - it just doesn't work ;d) So, I stick to the passive aiming.
Dave spitting truth!
I have everything checked off, aside from the fiscal position. My personal finances are tight after a few surprises earlier this year. However, I think NVGs are a must, especially if you live in an urban area. NVG30 looks like the first affordable digital solution that offers any real practicality. So I just took that plunge.
What height of mount should I take for LPVO to work properly with the rico25 + PICTAIL + MQD mount set?
Calling it an ecoti killer is an exaggeration.
Hey, I’m in Central Texas and I just got my PVS 14 outfitted with a boom slang lens. I had it done by Custom Night Vision in the Houston area. Can’t really tell the difference because I have nothing to compare it to. What I do recognize is that it is only the Lens that is 25% bigger. Am I wrong? And can you explain that to me? Thanks. KK
I’ve had a fairly easy time merging the two images so far. Having said this I’ve only had my complete dual band setup for a couple weeks. The caveat is that unlike most people I’m ambidextrous and as a child wrote with both hands. I also don’t have a wholly dominant eye although I slightly favor my right eye. The cropping feature on the flir breach as well as the rayvn group rail also help with lining up the images over one another. The lag of the thermal does create some “trails” on moving targets but anyone with experience with psychedelics knows that can be overcome mentally. And it looks pretty bitchin
3D printed housing Nice ! 😊
You made some really good points and finding videos that discuss what spec sheets really mean are hard to find, especially with examples like in your dark room. Ask the average NVG dude what's your SNR and EBI and what do they mean and they'll look at you with the labrador head tilt. You guys could probably get quite a few views if you did a "This is what each number on your spec sheet means, and why it's important" video. Definitely forwarding this to my cousins that live down the hill, they've been wanting NVGs but have been scared away from dropping the dollar on "Budget" tubes.
what mount do you use to link up with the PVS-14? Thanks
The argument about it being too bright falls apart because most of us with L3 high gain tubes also have manual gain. The Photonis does do great with lots of ambient light but we aren’t buying night vision for seeing where there’s lots of ambient light.
L3 unfilmed rocks(but i really think you meed manual gain), but elbit and Photonis work well and have their own perks! Get whats in your budget and run it
How much are those I wonder lol. Certainly more than i can afford 🫤
How difficult is it to come by parts for that model?
What’s the easiest way to collimate my skeetIR and PVS14?
I still like mine better
Hell yeah
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Only $9,999
LOL...my old Omni7 tube outperforms my XW3240A 4G+ (2300FOM) in every condition... But a 4G+ costs roughly $4k or something? And the Omni7 non-aviation grade would cost below $1.2k!
At least I know I can wear it over my dominant eye because Im a cross dominant shooter ie im naturally right handed by my right eye is bad so I shoot left handed when I have to shoulder anything.
Just played a 24 hour milsim with a ST-6 and bridged PVS-14. It wasn’t even fair. Lots of opfor with NVGs. We just laid in the bush roadside and ambushed multiple squads while watching them gagglefyck down the road. You can’t hide, even in the bush. It was a rainy dark night. I’m so impressed
L3 Unfilmed is king. Photonis is still sick though and more than useable.
Obviously can’t beat their new high spec 24UAH tubes that are 2400+ FOM with EBI and Halo all under 1
@@thegolflife7565Yup, they damn near shit on everything.
@thegolflife7565 Got a 37.5 SNR L3 RVM-14 in white phosphor from Night Vision Inc for $3300! It's arriving tomorrow, so I'm super stoked!
These work on Jerry 14s?
